Perennial Specialty Crops

Perennial Specialty Crops

We had a great turn out at the Beaumont Horticultural Unit’s annual field day last week!  We had a terrific program filled with lots of good information.  Today, I’d like to share a couple of handouts about perennial specialty crops.

Dr. Wayne Porter and myself received a Specialty Crop Block Grant from the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce.  Our objective was to evaluate perennial crops in Mississippi.  Two of the crops we are looking at are asparagus and hops.  Below you will find handouts for each of these crops.  (A special thanks to Scott Langlois for his work with the hops project!)
