North Bay Field Day

Each year, the kindergarten students from our neighbor, North Bay Elementary School, come over to Coastal R&E Center for a field day.  My colleague, Scott Langlois, and I hosted a honey tasting session.  We brought in a ringer:  Mr. D.L. Wesley, a beekeeper from Marion County.  The kids learned all about bees and honey.  They got to taste fresh honey and even try on Mr. Wesley’s beekeeping suit!

Here I am holding a frame from on of the hives.

Sharing some “sweet” time AND a chair!

Can you say. “YUMMY”?

Fresh honeycomb.

After spending just a few hours with over 100 kindergarteners, I believe even more strongly that TEACHERS ARE UNDERPAID!!!!!
