Out and About in East Biloxi

Today is a beautiful day on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!  I was fortunate enough this morning to get out and spend some time in the community of East Biloxi.

My first stop was the Early Head Start Center at Moore Community House.  I did two vegetable tasting programs with 8 classes of 3 and 4 year-olds!

The kids were adventurous eaters!  They tried broccoli, cauliflower, white potatoes, sweetpotatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, and grape tomatoes!

My next stop was Henry Beck Park.  There, Sharon Hanshaw and Coastal Women for Change have a community garden.  It will soon be a registered People’s Garden!

I really do have an awesome job!
