School Gardens-ECLE

I have the opportunity to work with a lot of teachers and students in school gardens.  They range from tiny spaces to large commercial greenhouses.  I thought that every now and then, I’d share some of these enterprises with you.

Today’s school is East Central Lower Elementary School in Hurley, MS.  This garden is the creation of kindergarten teacher Ms. Lisa Koen.  She is passionate about her garden and the children she is helping to grow along with it!  Some garden-related programs we’ve done include making seed bombs (messy and fun!), tasting nasturtiums, and reading “Oh Say Can You Seed”.

I can’t wait to meet her newest crop of gardeners!
